I was honored to be featured in CROWDSCALE with my guest article, "7 Signals of Red-Hot Winners."
CROWDSCALE is the newsletter by Kevin Fulmer that retail investors actually trust when they're sizing up equity crowdfunding deals, so getting the green light to contribute means a lot.
I wrote the piece through the lens of Market Chemistry and everything we've learned after ushering more than $225M in raises. When you've been close to that much capital moving through this space, the patterns start to emerge. In the article, I break down the seven signals investors can look for to figure out the real potential in a crowdfunding deal.
Here's a taste:
"Five years into helping startups raise millions, the biggest lesson I've learned is: winners show you what's possible and losers show you what's likely. Out of roughly 6,375 companies that have completed Reg CF or Reg A+ campaigns since 2016, Kingscrowd has tracked 77 positive exits and 186 confirmed failures. The winners weren't lucky — they were legible. If you know what to look for, the signals are right there in the deal."
I'm grateful to Kevin for the platform and for the work he does opening up private markets to the people who deserve a seat at the table.
